This is one amazing 3d program! Version 2 is an incredible improvement over the already useful program. Z brush added in a bunch of new features, but in addition the user interface has also been beefed up and is customizable. You can simply sculpt and paint in a 3D environment. The Zsphere feature is a great tool to allow you to quickly produce organic shapes without the annoyances of traditional modeling interfaces.

The program itself is deceptively simple. There are basic things that you can intuitively pick up while you are messing with the interface. However like most 3D apps there are some pretty unusual steps for the novice user. For the level of quality Z brush delivers, it is well worth the price. The paint features are also pretty useful to quickly paint up colors, textures and normal maps without a lot of headaches.
